Online journal #2

The Artist I wrote about is Nayvadius DeMun Wilburn A.K.A Future. He was born November 20, 1983 by the time he was 15 he was writing hes own music. In 1998 rap started to become real popular, while he was going to school he worked extremely hard which driven him under the wing of his brother Rocko. Rocko signed him a record deal for his first album A-1. This is when all the big time artist were coming up like Lil Wayne, Rick Ross, Drake, Gucci Mane and Ace hood. He looked up to these guys he wanted to be like them, he said listing to there music helped me stay on track helped me stay out of trouble.

He was born in Atlanta, Georgia Future grew up on the streets, he grew up in a very hostile environment so that's what drove him to become the person he is to day a very respected wealthy man. During this time Future had two years of singing on a hard drive hes DJ had. They were on tour for 2 months. When the plane landed in Islam his DJ Esco got caught with marijuana so he had to stay in Dubai jail for 56 nights. Esco had the hard drive with him that had all the music on it, so Future had to write new music and when he did he blew up with the album Pluto which is about his life and what all he has done to get where he is he said he was not mad he was just worried about when his friend was getting out. Future cares a lot about his family he has four kids with 4 different women, he loves his kids he is now with Ciara.

How School Is Going So Far
How is school going for me so far? It has been stressful and fun at the same time. The fun part is that all my teachers are really awesome especially my English teacher. Mr. Still is really cool and funny and I’m able to learn and understand what my teachers are teaching.  It’s also fun because it is a lot more laid back compared to high school by not having to go to class every minute of the day.  I’m getting to know some pretty amazing people, making friends, and getting closer to my goals which is being a police officer because I want to save people lives, I want to make them better and I love the thrill of being around danger I like the feeling I get in my stomach.
The stressful part is all the overwhelming homework and limited time to do it because of my job commitment on Monday, Wednesday and Friday. However, I do complete it on time by making good use of any free time I have especially in between classes on Tuesday and Thursday.  I do my best to keep up with each class and make sure to get everything done for homework, quizzes and test. I am aware to pay attention to actively listen, understand and take all the notes I can to refer back to them when I’m unsure of the answers.  I live an hour away, work part-time and only attend class two days a week.  This restricts me somewhat from on campus resources; I just can’t run by my professors’ office, go to the library or go see a tutor.
Overall, school has been what I imagined but because I’m actually a part of the school, I believe I can do this.  I can see myself getting my degree and move forward in life toward my lifelong dream of being a police officer.
